I try to limit how many addons I use in World of Warcraft, because they tend to break or get abandoned over time – and I don’t want to rely on them too heavily. One I’ve fallen in love with in Shadowlands is called ‘SavedInstances’. It lets me track various things on mouseover depending on how I have it set up. I have it set to just show my four ‘main’ characters (the ones I actively work on faction with who also happen to be crafters) but you can set it to show all or none of your characters. You can also customize WHAT shows on the list, currencies, dungeons, raids, and all sorts of other goodies. I happen to have living steel and lightning steel showing under the trade skill cooldowns just as a mental reminder to go and do it each day.

There are a LOT of different options, it’s handy to have darkmoon showing during the week it runs, as an example.

If you’re an alt lover like I am, and are looking for something maybe a bit less intense than altoholic, I HIGHLY suggest you check this addon out. I actually ended up dropping altoholic because I found it too frustrating to get to the information I wanted, and I much prefer this snap shot view that I can activate just by hovering over the symbol on my UI.
Have a favourite addon that you think I should check out? Let me know in comments! As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself.
